How 4:8 became my lifestyle

Hi! I am Amy Williams and 6 years ago I was sick. I won’t bore you with the details, you can find my story in my blog called My healing journey if you want to know more about that.  What is exciting is how the 4:8 Lifestyle came about and how it gave my body the ability to heal.

In the beginning months of my illness I was given a book called, The 4:8 Principle by Tommy Newberry. Little did I know that this book would set the pace of how I found healing in my mind, body and soul. This book is based upon Philippians 4:8. If you are not familiar with the verse, let me share it with you.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is True, whatever is Noble, whatever is Right, whatever is Pure, whatever is Lovely, whatever is Admirable—if anything is Excellent or Praiseworthy—think upon these things.

Well, thinking upon these things set the course for my life from that day forward. When I would think about the foods I ate, I reflected back upon that verse. Was the meat being served for dinner raised in a noble way, grass-fed, free-range? Were the vegetables I was preparing providing a lovely display on my plate?

How about my thoughts, was I thinking about things that were admirable and surrounding myself with news that was excellent and praiseworthy? What was the right way to start my mornings? Was it moving in some form or exercise, uncovering what is true by meditating on God’s word, being still and listening?

Was I keeping myself pure, surrounding myself with morally appropriate things? I would ask myself questions like that continually through out my day. It felt as if God was guiding me.

All of this lead me to become a wellness coach to assist others in their path to optimal health. It looks different for everyone, as we all were uniquely made in His image. Living a 4:8 Lifestyle is what helped me and I am confident that it can help you.

I deeply believe in the power of being an advocate for our own health. It is my passion to walk along side you as you find your optimal health in mind, body and spirit. You have everything it takes to heal your body, lose weight, reverse negative thinking and become mindful in all aspects of your life. Make everyday a chance to get better with age and have emotional well-being. So, I invite you to be part of the movement and join me in living a 4:8 Lifestyle!
